A Rainbow after the storm?

Is there always a rainbow after the storm?   As a life coach I never know the outcome of someone’s issue.  Life is unpredictable, and everyone is different.  Although we are human, everyone is unique. I do not believe there is a cookie cutter solution approach to an individual.  Therefore it is in this uniqueness that the beauty of the soul is revealed.

Everyone is the master of his or her destiny.  I found that the answers to most people’s problem are within themselves.  One of my favorite classic movies is the Wizard of Oz.  Dorothy finds that everything she needed was in her own backyard.

Soaring above our circumstances

One Saturday morning, while my husband and I were preparing for breakfast, we begin to trade philosophical thoughts, as it is one of our Saturday morning rituals.  The subject of my latest blog, “ coping though change “ was not quite the message that I wanted to convey to my readers.

As I began to brainstorm, I realized that cope was too fragile of a word   After all, coping is what we do every day.  We cope with the job; we cope with that pain that never really goes away. As people we are always introduced to the concept of coping.    However to really achieve a sense of fulfillment we need to soar above circumstances.   In my opinion just surviving is too bleak of an existence.

After much thought it occurred to me that we want to transcend through changes.   Simply coping was not enough. According to the American English Dictionary, transcend means, “ to go beyond or rise above a limit, or be greater than something ordinary” Thus the new website was born, Transcendingthruchanges.

Coping Through Change

Transitions

It has been said that there is nothing constant but change. I am not sure who said this, I Just know that that this adage resonates in my being, when something happens in my life that I am trying to resist. It is in these moments of struggle, I have to remind myself that life flows.

Although most people are aware that nothing stays the same, many have a difficult time coping with the transitions. How can one cope with the loss of a job that helped support their family for over two decades? How can children adjust to a new home if their parents have to move away? Every moment people are faced with one change or another. The changes that are experienced leads to a transition in their circumstances and or life. As the day will transition in the night and the night will transition to the day, so will it be with our lives.
